The test mule of MG Gloster facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads again. It will receive a lot of styling changes over the current-gen model
MG Motor India is continuously testing the Gloster facelift (a rebadged version of Maxus D90) on Indian roads. The camouflaged test mule of the upcoming MG Gloster facelift has recently been spotted, showcasing significant styling upgrades.
An Instagram video has surfaced, providing a glimpse of the moving MG Gloster facelift on our roads. As seen in the video, the front fascia of the big SUV flaunts a large three-slat grille, squared-off split-headlamp setup and MG’s logo at the centre. Furthermore, the integrated LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) add to the impressive looks of the Gloster facelift, as shown in the video.
On the side profile, the 2024 MG Gloster will likely get larger alloy wheels, but the test mule was spotted with the same alloy wheels as the current-Gen model. The spy shots further suggest that the MG Gloster facelift will come equipped with newly designed LED tail lamps and a connecting LED light bar running across the rear profile. One noticeable change is an exhaust pipe on both sides at the rear of the 2024 MG Gloster.

On the interior front, the MG Gloster facelift is likely to retain the same features as the current-gen model, including a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, a 360-degree surround camera and ventilated and powered front seats. Additionally, the full-size SUV will sport a panoramic sunroof and Level-2 ADAS features for enhanced safety.
In terms of powertrain, the MG Gloster facelift will remain unchanged and continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which is available in turbo and twin-turbo guise. The two-wheel-drive variant generates a max power of 160 bhp and a peak torque of 375 Nm. The four-wheel-drive variant generates 215 bhp max power and 480 Nm peak torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is on offer.

MG is yet to announce the launch date of its Gloster facelift SUV in the Indian market. However, according to reports, the 2024 Gloster is expected to launch in late 2024. Talking about the pricing, it might receive a price hike of Rs 1 lakh compared to the current-gen Gloster, considering the upgraded features.
