Team India look to draw first blood against Japan in the semifinal of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 in Rajgir, Bihar on Tuesday as the game remains scoreless at the end of the third quarter.
The women in blue topped the group stages with an incredible 15 points from as many available as they romped to five wins in the tournament.
India started the campaign with a 4-0 win over Malaysia in their opener before a 3-2 win over South Korea in their second outing. The women in blue registered a 13-0 hammering of Thailand in their third assignment. The Indian women posted yet another dominant 3-0 win over China to seal their berth in the semifinal before topping the group with another convincing 3-0 triumph over Japan in their final group fixture.
China, Japan and Malaysia are the other sides that made it to the final-four of the event and third-placed Japan were paired up against the hosts.
